Maritime Museum
of San Diego

Print and Digital Design • Video Editing • HTML ads

The Maritime Museum of San Diego, with its world-renowned reputation for excellence in restoring, maintaining, and operating historic vessels, boasts one of the globe's finest collections of historic ships, including the world's oldest active sailing ship, Star of India.

During my time at the Maritime Museum of San Diego, I have created numerous promotional videos. These videos serve as marketing tools, showcasing the museum's collections, exhibits, and events to attract potential visitors.

I have also designed a wide range of promotional materials and collateral that communicate the museum's offerings to the public. My work in this area includes crafting visually appealing brochures, posters and banners that highlight the museum's exhibits and events.

Nepocin Polje

The Nepocin Polje Hot Sauce collection combines the essence of Serbian tradition, folklore, and flavor. Drawing inspiration from the old Serbian folk art and storytelling the design of these sauces reflects cultural heritage and mythology.

Against an old paper texture background, black silhouettes of mythological beings and characters gracefully come to life in a mystical forest setting. This creates a captivating play of light and shadow, with each silhouette telling its own unique story and adding enchantment to the overall design. The vibrant red symbolizes the fiery heat and intensity of the sauces themselves, while the profound black echoes the passion and mystique of the myths they embody.

3BIR Brewery

3BIR Brewery, established in 2016 in Novi Sad, Serbia, bases its unique brews on three key principles: Authenticity, Skill, and Passion. This philosophy extends to their beer labels, which, like the beers themselves, are designed with meticulous attention to detail, rich storytelling, and skilled artistry.

The Juice IPA design is a tribute to my admiration for Keith Haring and also the lively summers enjoyed by Novi Sad's residents along the Danube's beaches. The bright, cheerful colors, together with the emblematic 3BIR Brewery flag held by a figure in the top left, in my mind perfectly encapsulate the spirit of this beer.

My collaboration with 3BIR began with one label design and soon expanded to two more, including Wartburg Pils, their most popular beer today. Since then, I have had the privilege of designing over 15 labels for them, in addition to contributing to their overall branding and identity.

Rigor Mortis, an imperial stout aged in wine barrels, is a collaboration with the local Deuric Winery. The label features striking silhouettes of a skull and skeletal hand, adding a sinister touch that complements the stout's origins—a beer called Memento Mori, created to accompany a dark, morbid detective graphic novel of the same name.

I've also had the pleasure of working on 3BIR's visual identity and merchandise available at their brewery and taproom. Given that "zbir" (3bir) translates to "sum," I found it fitting to incorporate the "+" sign, combining various elements related to the brewery and Novi Sad to create the perfect sum ("savrsen 3bir").

Hands of AI

AI Image Generation • Book Layout
Collaboration: Midjourney

This collection features the chosen images from my Instagram account - Hands of AI, and lots more that I never got to posting. All of them are showcasing how AI interprets the complexity of human hands. They are most definitely incorrect most of the time but even more definitely - they are a journey into the surreal and absurd which I am a huge fan of.

My active interest in the world of AI began in May of 2022 with Midjourney and a fascination for the unpredictable and often surreal outcomes. In the spring of 2023, after the entire humankind started criticizing AI for its representation of hands, I had to show my appreciation for all of those happy mistakes. Hands tell stories, convey emotions, and are incredibly complex in their structure and movement. Exactly because of that, when rendered through the lens of AI, they transform into something even more - a blend of the familiar and the fantastically abstract.

To this date, I have created around 50.000 images using Midjourney and Dall•e 2 and 3. The 'Hands of AI' project represents just one of many concepts I've explored with these amazing tools.
